Unusual Bird Activity?

Noticed something I’ve never seen before–a Townsend’s Warbler feeding at my suet feeder. A search on the internet found that this isn’t an unusual thing. 

A Wrentit at the suet feeder is a rarer occurrence. It’s hard enough to see them hiding in the bushes. Last year I also noticed this happening.

  1. Great photos! One question: how do you keep the Steller’s Jays from monopolizing the feeder? When I’ve tried putting out suet, the jays devour it and it is gone in a matter of hours! The other birds never get a chance…
