Almost one week ago President Obama gave his speech on what his administration will be doing to fight climate change. It was given between two days of important Supreme Count decisions. Between the Voting Rights Act and DOMA and California’s Prop 8. How was it covered in the media?
MSNBC was a surprise for me. They almost totally focused on the Voting Rights Act the day of the speech and then focused on DOMA and Prop 8. Don’t get me wrong these are both important issues but it proves that climate change will never become the issue of the day, week, or year. It keeps getting put aside because there is always something else in the news that the media thinks is more important like maybe a murder trial in Florida!
19 forest fire fighters were killed in Arizona yesterday. The Western United States is experiencing record heat and drought but the media can’t seem to put it all together.
In his weekly speech the President is asking you to make climate change an issue. You can see it here.

I found this article on the web. It seems late night comedy shows gave more time to President Obama Climate Change Plan than the Sunday talk shows which usually update what happened the week before.
