Virgin Creek Birding

Got to Virgin Creek this morning while waiting for a resident of the Lodge. There were several interesting birds with one being a “year” bird. The year bird(s) were 2 Heermann’s Gulls. They generally start arriving in July.

There was a single Semipalmated Plover.

Then there was a Brant.

The Brant and the Semipalmated Plover are listed as rare at this time of the year.

The Heermann’s Gulls are number 220 for the year.
